Press Release 6/30/2015

Advantage Properties is excited to be part of the future transit oriented development efforts near the planned Beacon Heights Purple Line train station.

New Carrollton Woods (159 garden apartments) and Prince Georgetown Apartments (93 rental townhouses), together span approximately 20 acres of land area and are currently located across the street from the future Beacon Heights station.  Both properties are managed by Cove Property Management (www.covepm.com)and asset managed by Advantage Properties.  Maryland Governor Larry Hogan’s recent expression of support for the Purple Line represents an important milestone in helping the project become a reality.

The Purple Line is a planned 16-mile light rail line extending from Bethesda in Montgomery County to New Carrollton in Prince George’s County. It would provide a direct connection to the Metrorail Red, Green and Orange Lines; at Bethesda, Silver Spring, College Park, and New Carrollton. The Purple Line would also connect to MARC, AMTRAK, and local bus services.
